i want goats!
we stayed at a friend's farm over the weekend where they had 2 baby pygmy goats. oh man, they're cute.
wonderful farm...incredibly inspiring. they had a great little fruit and vegetable garden and beautiful eucalyptus trees. we took home some lovely apples and a belly full of grapes.
along the way home we stopped at a few antiques stores. got a neat little cabinet for the bathroom. i'll post the refurbished version later this week.
as soon as we got home curt went to work building me a new oil/spice rack for the kitchen....recycled wood again! i love having piles of scraps to pull from. it feels so rough and ready-to-rumble!

oooh. You should get goats-- they would help tame your forest. I had the experience of cradling a baby angora goat at my sister-in-law's farm and almost cried... so cute and wuzzy.
i feel so inspired by you guys! we can't wait to become homeowners, and although i'm sure our home wont be as much of a gem as yours is, structurally, i hope to make lots of antique shop and rummage sale visits :) thanks for sharing your wonderful journeys!
erin,
hehe! "structurally" i don't know that i'd call our house a gem. it had good bones back in the day but they've lost a lot of strength...still handsome though.
you'll find your own gem. it may not look like a gem at first (wait till i post more "before" photos) but that's the fun..
stacey,
baby angora? oh man...i'd be a goner...
