again with the slacking in posting.
here's what happened 'round our neck of the woods:

hm, let's see. tree planting round-up:
- 10 redwood trees
- 1 black mission fig tree (some girl's get flowers, the lucky ones get figs...)
- 1 silver lode nectarine tree (and nectarines...)
- 1 australian tea tree

saturday was spent doing backyard work. finished putting some trees in the ground, sprayed our plum and orange (thought they were tangerines but now we're thinking oranges) with scale-killer, cleaned up the yard, cut the grass, tended to veggies, baked some bread and harvested our scallions and oranges...

sunday we went to go see how the big boys do it and trekked through joaquin miller regional park.
we met lots of nice redwoods and took note of their growing habits and natural plant neighbors. noted how close they grow, much cozier than we thought...then finished it all of with a little sweetness. much deserved...
